At 0437, Elara Voss steps over the edge of the Thornfield Moors and into the Underthread, the hidden weave beneath the world. By her fifth step, her boots begin to unravel. The song of the thread is dying, and with it the binding that holds reality together. She is not the first Voss to descend. Maren Voss went before her, leaving behind only a braid, a brazier, and a clan of Elders who still argue over her legacy. Now Maren walks the Underthread again, not as mother, not as matriarch, but as the face of the Unraveling itself, the very force consuming the weave. Beside her stirs Morath, an old enemy long thought ended, and above, Queen Seren's throne trembles as the threads that feed her kingdom begin to fray. Elara carries what remains of her family's craft: the songs of Grandmother Vex, the warnings of Theron Ashwell, and the thread-form of a sister she barely remembers. With Cael Draven at her side and Lirien guiding her through the deeper dark, she must follow a dying song into the place where memory dissolves. To mend the weave she will have to face the woman who made her, who unmade herself to become something older. If she fails, the song ends; if she succeeds, she must choose what her clan's name is worth.
