The Ashen Throne of Vorrath
The fens have swallowed the kingdom whole, and the dead refuse to stay buried. Magistrate Thessen Veyne is dispatched into the brackish ruins of a drowned counting house to retrieve a relic tied to a forgotten dynasty , but he finds only swollen corpses drifting beneath pillars of black water, and worse things stirring beneath. A Mire-Witch named Vernula watches from the reeds. A Tidemarshal named Holt Grevaine sounds his brass horn for a patrol that answers to no living crown. A Drowned Priest gathers his Hollow Legion, bone by bone, while the Bone-Sisters sharpen their knives for a champion yet unchosen. Far to the south, an Arch-Lich called Suthurion waits beneath the ashen throne of Vorrath, patient as rot. Caught between the rising water and the encroaching dark, Thessen must ally with Abbot-General Maren Sool and the surviving Iron Monks, outwit the Hollow Children, and decide whether the relic in his keeping is a key , or a crown. The throne waits. The fen rises. And the only kingdom left to save may be the one he surrenders.
