The Clockwork Prophet

Sable Thornwick counts teeth on stripped gears for a living. Now Tax Collector Brone tracks Sable through the workshops of the upper tiers, the feral automata of Brinewall howl in the salt-fog beyond the walls, and the Coppice , that ancient, whispering grove that predates the clockwork city , begins to grow iron thorns. Kael Ashford, Celia Ashford, and Elder Maren Ashford fracture into warring camps over what Sable's visions mean. Aldric Voss, Seren Nightblade, and the scattered remnants of Vox argue whether the prophet should be freed or broken.
