The Wren and the Wandering Inn
Two days from home and already lost, Wren Greenberry arrives at the weathered village of Larkspur seeking refuge, but the inn she steps into hides a far older secret than she could ever imagine. A stranger draped in grey checks into the common room, and with his arrival comes a creeping chill, vanishing guests, and whispers of the Hollow King who once bound the village in unbreakable silence. As the marsh waters rise and Barnaby Muckleby's old stories begin to bleed into terrible truth, Wren must rally the inn's unlikely defenders, Old Tam, Saffron Marsh, and the mysterious Hesper Quill, to break the curse before dawn claims another victim. With Bess the kitchen cat refusing to leave the hearth and the Marsh Warden warning that the Hollow King's Servant walks the fog, Wren is offered a terrible choice: surrender the inn and everyone sheltering within it, or confront an ancient evil whose roots run deeper than the Greenberry name itself.
