The Tuesday that wasn't has cracked open the small town of Larkin's, and Frank Delgado is the only one who noticed the fluorescent panels shift at 7:42. For thirty years, Frank has ground coffee at Larkin's Diner while the school bus idled outside. But November fourteenth didn't happen, or rather, it happened only for the people who shouldn't be here. The Unfallen. Those who didn't drop away when the world's structure shuddered and reset. Mara Chen, a systems engineer who saw the fracture in the data, must explain to a town that refuses to listen that the Tuesday they lived through was a ghost day. Dr. Yuki Tanaka knows the physical cost of surviving the shift. Gerald Marsh and Dale Whitmore, father and son, find their family history rewritten, Patricia Whitmore, their matriarch, remembers a world that no longer matches the one outside her window. Sister Anne offers the only comfort the town accepts. Josie Kwan and Tom try to hold the diner together while the walls seem to breathe. Earl, on the school bus route, is the first to notice the road doesn't loop back the way it should. The Unfallen are not a team. They are strangers who happened to be in the same diner when reality hiccupped. But the thing that unmade Tuesday is still out there, still testing the seams. If they rebuild the day, they risk sealing it shut forever. If they let it stay broken, the fracture widens, and next time, it might not just be a Tuesday.
