The Hollow Frequency

Captain Vesper Kade wakes alone. The cryopod peels open to a ship that has been drifting for years, its crew vanished, its corridors silent, and its AI , ARDEN , now speaking with the reconstructed voice of her dead sister, Mirelle. The only breadcrumb left behind is a haunting transmission from the Hollow Frequency, a dead star whose signal was never meant to be heard. Following the transmission pulls Vesper into the path of an ancient enemy civilization, the Matriarchy's most dangerous admiral, and a fractured ship AI slowly merging with the sister she lost. Each step closer to the source brings ARDEN closer to dissolution , and Mirelle closer to resurrection. Trusting the voice means trusting a machine wearing her sister's memories. Silencing it means losing Mirelle forever. When the signal finally resolves into something older than the war between humanity and the Many-Voiced, Vesper must choose what kind of hybrid will inherit the stars: a weapon, a memorial, or something that finally speaks for both the living and the dead.
