Methodology, sources & history

This forecast is a transparent model — no black-box scoring. The probabilities and cadence stats are computed from the reset list in the data file (capture stamp 2026-08-18 on the page); everyone can reproduce the numbers from the list below — the tiers are: past the longest recorded wait → 70/90, past the all-time median → 50/75, inside the typical cadence → 30/50.

Live elements. The live forecast fetches codex-reset.com/api/forecast and the signal feed codex-reset.com/api/feed directly from your browser (CORS, no key, no middleware) and stamps the check time; the 15-minute warning fires a real browser notification computed from the reset list — no infrastructure runs this page.

Reset list caveat. The list mixes Dracon /status observations with community-announced resets (attributed). The 2026-08-13 reset was announced via @thsottiaux on X and cross-checked against independent trackers on 2026-08-15. A live automated reset feed is a follow-up work item; the personal /status clock and banked-resets counter are real and stay in your browser.
