Resume ↔ job-post match score

Jobscan charges $49.95/mo to tell you which keywords you're missing — and uploads your resume doing it. This runs entirely in your browser. Free, no signup.

Privacy by architecture: the score is computed locally in this tab. Your resume and the job post are never transmitted anywhere. The optional AI analysis below uses your own API key and calls the provider directly from your browser — we can't see it because there is no server in that path at all.

Paste both documents (a few lines each) to see the score.

Methodology & honesty box

  • Deterministic by design. Keywords are extracted from the posting as single words and two-word phrases; sentences under "Required"-style headings (or containing explicit requirement markers) count double; "Nice-to-have" sections count half; a curated multi-word-skill dictionary keeps phrases like "machine learning" intact. Same documents in → same score out, offline, forever.
  • What it cannot see: synonyms ("k8s" vs "Kubernetes"), layout, PDF formatting, or how well you actually used each skill. That's why the AI layer exists as an optional second opinion.
  • The comparison: Jobscan's upload-based matcher runs $49.95/mo ($29.98/mo quarterly); Teal $29/mo. This scorer's core is free forever, no account, and architecturally incapable of leaking your resume.
  • Recruiters: the same math works both ways — paste resumes against a posting to screen for coverage before spending human reading time.
